Hi; I installed SCCM 2007 R3 on Windows Server 2008 R2 OS and my SQL Server 2008 R2 is on the other Windows Server 2008 R2 OS.I dont have any problem about agent installation but my problem is i can't see any inventory reports(Hardware or software) about client pcs. when i look at inboxmon.log file,it's says <MAXIMUM LOG FILE SIZE REACHED - FILE RENAMED>... i guess i've so much log about inventory cause of that i cant see any reports.. do you have any idea clearing inboxes folder??? I changed software and hardware inventories schedule time to 1 day on client agents... and i've got nearly 1000 clients...

1) Don't delete files from the inboxes unless you have a problem and you know that deleting a specific file will solve the issue 2) When a log file reaches max size, it will automatically create a new file and write to that. To troubleshoot inventory, check the inventoryagent.log on a client and dataldr.log on the site server. Those are the first and last log file used in the process,Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

I changed software and hardware inventories schedule time to 1 day on client agents... and i've got nearly 1000 clients... I will never keep software inventory schedule everyday. I think, 1 week would be sufficient?Anoop C Nair - Twitter @anoopmannur MY BLOG: http://anoopmannur.wordpress.com SCCM Professionals This posting is provided AS-IS with no warranties/guarantees and confers no rights.

I bet your server struggles a bit because of this ;-) And it could be worse if you've configured SINV to look for other files. Maybe try increase the log file size so more data is captured before the log rolls.
